Adult Dermal Fibroblasts are isolated from adult skin and form a major contituent of connective tissue. They play an important role during hair development as well cutaneous wound healing. The therapeutic applications of dermal fibroblasts include bioengineering of skin and wound healing while their IVD uses include studying normal and diseased skin physiology and screening of drugs, especially cosmetics.
